Hello Davinet, thanks for the question.
A fungible-token standard (comparable to ERC20 in Ethereum) is something we are currently researching, also as part of the interoperability solution. In this sense, sidechain tokens are a very interesting concept that is on our radar :slightly_smiling_face: In general, developers should be able to deploy any kind of custom logic for their sidechain economics and tokens with the SDK.
Regarding DeFi, I personally think that could be an amazing Dapp concept! You should go for it :wink:
